Lyocell fiber, also called "Tencel", is made from wood pulp, using closed loop, ensuring it will not produce any derivatives and chemical effects. Directly spinned after edulcoration, the molecular has a simple carbohydrate structure. The 100% Tencel woven fabrics can be completely decomposed in the soil and have no pollution to the environment. In addition, the amine solvent used in production is completely harmless to the human body and can be recycled almost completely and reused repeatedly. The cellulose molecules contained in the raw material pulp in production do not have chemical changes and no by-products, and no waste is discharged from the factory. It is a green fiber.
100% Tencel woven fabrics is a cellulose fiber using the solvent spinning technology. It has dry strength slightly lower than that of polyester, but significantly higher than that of the viscose fiber. Its wet strength is significantly improved than that of the viscose. It has very high rigidity, good water-washing dimensional stability (the shrinkage rate is only 2%), and high moisture absorption. Its cross-section is round or oval. 100% Tencel woven fabrics has fine gloss, soft feel, good drape, and good flowing. To sum up, the Tencel has the softness of cotton, the high strength of polyester and the warmth of wool.
