Tancel fiber is a new type of man-made cellulose fiber, which was named LYOCELL(lyocell fiber) by the international bureau of man-made fibers in 1989. It comes from cellulose in trees. By using organic solvent (NMMO) spinning process, it is completed under physical function. The whole manufacturing process is non-toxic and pollution-free. Therefore, "Tancel" is known as "the green fiber of the 21st century". It can be seen that it is a kind of eco fabric.
Lyocell eco fabric tencel has white appearance, circular cross-section, relative density of 1.5, moisture regain rate at 11%, strong dry and wet strength, whose dry strength is close to polyester, and dry-wet strength ratio is up to 85% bright color, which has unique fibrillation characteristics, that is, fibers in wet state has the mechanical stress along the fiber axis splitting fibrils in wet state F. The volume of fibers can be expanded by 40%. It has good spinnability, that is, it can be blended with cotton, wool, silk, linen and chemical fibers.
Tencel and lyocell are two kinds of tencel. The linear density of tencel is 1.4 dtex, 1.7 dtex, 2.4 dtex and 3.3 dtex. The average length of lyocell is 38 mm, 51 mm (suitable for staple spinning), 60 mm and 80 mm (suitable for wool textiles), and the fabrics made of Tencel are diversified, such as plain, twill, satin, embroidered and decayed fabrics, and jacquard fabrics, fabrics and printed fabrics, which are beloved by people.
